I got the idea for Stupid, Sweaty, Beautiful, Manic Love from my life. I live with bipolar disorder, and I'm terribly awkward with the opposite sex. My struggles with bipolar disorder don't define my experiences and my interactions with women, but they have certainly colored them. I just wanted to tell stories based on my experiences and some other stories that are 100% made up about being bipolar and constantly in and out of love/lust/whatever.
