If fictional book worlds were to become a reality, a visit to Middle Earth would definitely be at the top of my list. Of course timing would be key here, as I'm probably not suited to ending up in the middle of the great war against Sauron. I would love to spend some time visiting Rivendell and Lothlorien; visiting the dwarf mines, (and maybe picking up a trinket or two); and sharing a half-pint in the company of hobbits. And if I could find a man as hot as Aragorn, well.... I'll just leave that to your imagination. :)

I can't wait to get started on my summer reading list!! Once I get my polished draft of Whispers off to my editor, I'll be finishing The Ghost of Bell Lane by Mick Mears; Bloodstained Heart - Part 1 by Audrina Lane; Secret Harbor by Anna Sullivan; Dance with a Devil by Iona Morrison; and Toshimingo Blues by Elmore Leonard. I'd have to say Aragorn and Arwen from Lord of the Rings. Aside from just loving that story overall, the romance between the mortal man Aragorn and elf maiden Arwen really speaks to me because of the enormous sacrifice she makes for them to be together...giving up her immortality. Now that's love!!

Currently, I'm working on Exploits...the first in a new 4-book series called Sex and Secrets. In each of these novels the hero and/or heroine will be hiding a secret that complicates their romance and puts their lives in danger. As with the Desire Never Dies trilogy, each book with feature a different hero and heroine, with a continuing storyline. I'm really excited about this new series...and Exploits is already proving to be full-on excitement! :)

There's no telling where all these various plot ideas come from, really. Usually I just allow my self to relax and transcribe the ideas as they float into my brain. I find lounging poolside particularly good for this exercise.

My most recent book, Redemption, is the final installment of the Desire Never Dies trilogy...so I already had the sub-plot and the hero & heroine. Beyond that, I knew that Mindy was starting off the book broken and in need of healing...and I also knew that I wanted my characters trapped in a sinister place. Taking those two elements together really helped solidify the plot. Nothing quite like the combination of danger and romance! :)
