W. Richard Lawrence First in the movie "The Princess Bride" then in the book, I would have to say for a couple I like Westley and Buttercup. Westley was very good at being the straight men in several of the jokes. Plus, he was after all the Dread Pirate Roberts, and a very good one at that. Buttercup really had the lesser role but still very important. I enjoyed her comments about killer herself after the wedding. If you haven't read the book, it's an easy and enjoyable read where the author takes a lot of liberties making fun of an unabridged copy that is not real.

W. Richard Lawrence Buy and read books on writing, find a group to join that works for you. Coming up with interesting stories is only half of it. You must learn how to tell it in a way that others will see what you see in your mind. That part can be learned through books, classes, conferences, and trail and error. Find someone to go over your work with, it doesn't have to be another writer, just another reader who likes the types of stories you want to write.
W. Richard Lawrence I can do it from home or anywhere and I love coming up with new ideas. How many jobs can you work on while taking a walk, driving a car, or filling a restless night. I have always been a daydreamer and now it's called work.
W. Richard Lawrence With me writer's block is more a motivation issue. To over come it I will something take a break for a day or two and do other types of work or find someone to talk to about my story. I do find talking with others about my story works best to over come the motivation issues.
W. Richard Lawrence I'm not really sure other than the fact I've always made up stories in my head to past the time.
W. Richard Lawrence A lot of the tech part came from my past. As for the credit card theft, I got the idea while in England. Almost everyplace we went, they were using credit cards with chips in them. I know much of America is heading the same way.
