Rose Withering Word Vomit! If I get stuck I just start writing whatever comes to my head, when I'm done, I turn the text white so it is easy to erase when I get to the next draft and so it doesn't interfere with the story.
Rose Withering Being able to share your thoughts, your dreams with others, and having people care and want to read and hear what you have to say.
Rose Withering If you want to write a book, just sit down and do it. Know that your first draft is going to be ugly and messy and that's OK, just get it down, and then when you have it all down, that's when you go back and start to polish it, and keep polishing it and learning from each draft. Also join a writing community like NaNoWriMo, writing doesn't have to be a solitary activity anymore, you need support for those moments when nothing is going right and you feel like giving up or ripping out your hair, you need people who have been there too who can help you get through it, who understand because people who aren't writers just don't get it, writing is hard, it takes lots of time, dedication, blood, sweat and tears, but in the end, when you have that beautiful book in your hand, it's worth it, it's always worth it.
Rose Withering I am currently editing the second edition to a book I published in 2014, Thornburg's Daughter which is now book 5 of my series, Fantastic Tales of Fae. I am writing book 6 of that series Thornburg's Army, and working on a new series, The Strand Series, book 1 being The Unraveled Strand which is a speculative thriller with embellished scenes from my own personal life and based on a day dream story I've been creating the past five years.
Rose Withering I was inspired in 6th grade, that's where I met my muse, the one person I base all my heroes off of. when I couldn't stop writing even to walk home from school, because the ideas just kept pouring out. I wrote my first actual story in 7th grade and never stopped writing after that. It was supposed to be a short story for English, and by the time I turned it in, it was 78 pages. I got an F for not following directions, but I kept writing it all through junior high and high school and eventually turned it into Soul Mates...and then An Unforgettable Summer and I plan to rewrite it, because it got a bad review and my muse deserves a good story.
Rose Withering My most recent book is book 4 of my series. I got the idea for the series from playing pretend with my brother when we were little. We created this world and it was influenced by fairy tales, cartoons, fantasy books and movies we loved. I eventually took those ideas and morphed them into the world of Tera'Ghrian. Some of the most influential works are Lord of The Rings, Narnia, Never Ending Story, Shadow Castle and Rapunzel.
