Goodreads asked Rose Withering:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Rose Withering If you want to write a book, just sit down and do it. Know that your first draft is going to be ugly and messy and that's OK, just get it down, and then when you have it all down, that's when you go back and start to polish it, and keep polishing it and learning from each draft. Also join a writing community like NaNoWriMo, writing doesn't have to be a solitary activity anymore, you need support for those moments when nothing is going right and you feel like giving up or ripping out your hair, you need people who have been there too who can help you get through it, who understand because people who aren't writers just don't get it, writing is hard, it takes lots of time, dedication, blood, sweat and tears, but in the end, when you have that beautiful book in your hand, it's worth it, it's always worth it.
