My favorite fictional couple are the Golem and the Jinni from the book of the same name by Helen Wecker. Each one has some supernatural abilities that reflect on their characters and personalities.
But isn't that the way it is for all of us? We have talents and weaknesses. But when we find the right partner, we complement each other.
Such is the case with the Golem and the Jinni - their relationship grows over the course of the book towards its resolution, and even though they are not together in a dating sense, they are very much a couple.
