Good Question. The unexplained mystery that happens in life could be a good plot. It sounds silly, but there have been times in my life that I shouldn't have survived car accidents or when I was five I fell off a rickety old slide that was 6ft tall. Mind you, I have come from the age of pavement being the sand in the playground area and the slides were never steady or curvy, just tall. I was at the top of the slide, lost my footing and flew backwards off of it. I woke up a minute later surrounded by students and my teacher. Funny thing is: I had no scratches on me and my head wasn't bleeding.

LOL. I'm dealing with one now. I usually eat a lot or Lemon Oreos and brainstorm. Sometimes I take a break, since I'm a Critique Partner, I go through other works and get lost in their words. Then, I go back to my own work and gut it

Never Give up!!!! It's important. We have all started with a piece of paper and an idea. There are times when you want to throw the towel in and hit a wall. Don't! Once you push through, you'll be golden. Think of the outcome afterwards. You created a story whether it's another world, realm, or a romance. :)

I have a couple of projects. LOL. It never seems to end. New Dawn is the next book to finalize and put on market, I'm hoping this winter

Part of it was the bullies at school and part of it is my kids. I've loved escaping into stories when I was a pre-teen, going through the awkward stage. While most of my friends were into "Cosmopolitan" and the mean girls found away to make my life difficult at school, I would escape into creating fantasy stories in backyard, where the princess saved the day.
Now working with my son and helping him deal with Autism, I escape into my characters :)

The Idea came to me when I watched Disney's "Brave." I thought it would be cool to write about Scottish Folklore. When I researched it, the Scottish Folklore was actually Celtic. The stories from the Celts were fun, especially the story of Aine of Knockaine and The Morrigan. And that is how The Descendant came to life.
