(view spoiler)[Hi Kimberley it was lovely to have met you at Comic Con in Adelaide. I am looking forward to reading your series. I have to say you were one of my favourite people I had met. I will let you know how I go. Your books are on my to read list xxxx
My question to you is where do you get your ideas from to write your books? Do you listen to music to help bring the characters to life? (hide spoiler)]

Hey Renee! I get my ideas from a multitude of things. When it came to my first trilogy, it was more the movies I loved. The first book in the first half has a Underworld kind of feel, whereas the second half is more fantasy (any movie that had a quest involved). My most recent work I got the idea from reading about some myths around the world about certain places and the whole 'once you enter you never return' scenario. Other one's I'm working on are based off just a certain moment in time where I may have seen something or read something which were the catalyst for creating a story. I would go into more about those ones, but they are still being formed, but you can definitely come up to me when I'm in your city again for a con to find out the details. But what I'm trying to portray is that anything can be your influence: words, things, people, experiences, movies, other books etc. Coming up with a unique story - that's the hard part.
When writing, I definitely do not listen to music as it distracts me too much (I get too excited and sing along haha). I like the silence or even just sitting in a cafe. It can be hard sometimes to find the best writing spot, so I sometimes move around.
I hope this answered your questions.

Hey Hanny! I'm so glad you enjoyed the books :) At the moment I'm stepping away from that world and working on something new altogether. That's not to say I won't go back to it, I just need to create a new world with new characters and see where they take me. In saying that, I have three projects in the works and I'm hoping you'll like at least one of them.
Regards,
Kim

Hi Paul!
Funny enough, I have a few male fans who have loved the books and constantly ask me where the third one is ranging from 18 up to their 50's. But like all books, it's subjective to the reader. Feel free to go to my website to read the first two chapters for free www.kimberleyclarknovels.com.

Hi Alyssa!
I'm so glad you're enjoying them. After I finish this trilogy, I will definitely be working on something new in the sci-fi apocalyptic genre which i'm pretty excited about. Will be revealing more about it soon. If you like my FB page, i'll be posting more about it there :)

Hi Angela! Nostvore is just a play on the word Nosferatu (the name of the first ever vampire movie). The term is also used in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Lycrould is a play on the word Lycan, as in, if you want to study werewolves, it's called lycanothropy. But there are also many other names for both species, and spelled differently for different regions. This is just my twist on the spelling.
