T.J. Kline The quick answer is YES!

Blake was supposed to be a side character who invariably stole my heart. Since there were other books already in the works, I haven't been able to write his as quickly as I wanted but I know exactly what his story is, where he will fit in the series and the HEA in mind for our dear doctor. Fear not!
T.J. Kline They can be read out of order. Rodeo Queen was first, followed by The Cowboy and the Angel and finally, Learning the Ropes. Runaway Cowboy was a prequel about Jen and Clay prior to their marriage.

As of right now, I have a short story on my blog with David (Cowboy Kisses) but no full length novel...yet. I won't say that it won't happen because I really really want to write it but other projects have demanded my attention so far.
T.J. Kline Hi Christa! It was a pretty easy choice for me. I started with the advice, "write what you know," so I did. I wrote about a rodeo queen and the western lifestyle. I was lucky other people want to read about it as well. I tend to write whatever stories come to me and what I would like to read. I love reading about cowboys, so...
T.J. Kline Who wouldn't? I always said I was born in the wrong era. I grew up watching westerns with my grandparents and loved them - The Lone Ranger, Rawhide, Bonanza - there was something romantic about a rugged cowboy. Plus, he always had the best horses! As a horse crazy kid, you have two choices, English riding or Western. I chose both but stuck with the excitement of Western (and those rugged cowboys) over equestrian jumping (which was too darn expensive for my blood!)
T.J. Kline It wasn't something I really *decided* to do, it was something I *had* to do. Ever since I was a child, I've made up stories. I've suffered from insomnia as long as I can remember and making up stories in my head as I lay in bed as a child was one of the only ways for me to fall asleep. (As I got older, it was balancing my checkbook!)

Writing stories has always come as naturally as breathing to me and I feel alive when I do it. It's always been a way to release emotion for me, whether through writing fiction, poetry or just journal entries. I've even written songs (yes, I play guitar and sing).

But, ironically, romance has always been my first love. When I was given the opportunity to write full-time, I seized it. I've been lucky to have several positions I enjoyed but this, by far, is a dream come true for me.
T.J. Kline I don't bother to wait for inspiration to hit. I write whether I'm inspired or not. It might not all be beautiful, it might not even be on topic. In fact, it might be the worst lines I've ever written, filled with grammar mistakes, poor penmanship, ridiculous prose and complete nonsense, but one word turns into two and that turns into a sentence, then another until I have a paragraph and a page.

I'm never waiting to write perfection. I'm writing because it's what I HAVE to do, like breathing. The more I do it, the easier it becomes to fall right back into the story. A better question would be, how do you STOP writing when you have to?
T.J. Kline The best thing about being a writer is that no one questions my coffee addiction or thinks I'm odd because I wear yoga pants and sweatshirts (or tanks during the summer) all day long.

In reality, it's the fact that I get to do what I love. I love reading about people and their love stories. The only thing better is having people enjoy the ones that come from my head as much as I do. Knowing that others fall for my characters, feel their pain and joy and celebrate their lives with me is pure joy.
T.J. Kline The idea for my latest book came from a desire I've always had to run a ranch pairing abused horses with special needs kids and those from dire conditions. There is something about the healing power of horses. They see into your soul and can reach parts of you that you keep hidden from the rest of the world. From that, the Healing Harts series was born.
T.J. Kline I've found that as long as I keep reading and writing, I don't really get writer's block. I do have times when I feel uninspired or as if I'm struggling with stories; however, as long as I keep writing something, editing what I've already written or plotting, I'm able to get through it quickly and, fairly, painlessly.
T.J. Kline Right now, I'm preparing for the release of my third book in the Rodeo series, Learning the Ropes.

I'm also in the middle of the first book for a new series about three siblings. It will still have the same western feel as the Rodeo series with plenty of cowboys and is scheduled to be available Spring 2015.
