I can't say specifically where the idea came from for Ultras: Effect of the Sky Canopy. I had some rough characters that I wanted to explore and that's kind of how I decided to start writing. I simply started to form a story around the characters that I came up with. They morphed and changed as I got more into the story, but the general idea came mostly from giving these characters of mine something to struggle against.

I take inspiration from many places. Sometimes it's just something someone says or happens during the day. I have been inspired by video games, comic books, novels and mostly movies. I find it rather easy to be inspired because I enjoy so many different genres.

I am currently working on the second novel in my Ultras series. Hopefully this one won't take as long as the first one.

Anybody can do it with the proper motivation and personal drive. I am someone who has no writing background, no degree in English and doesn't spell very well. I somehow managed to become a published author. I won't say that it's easy and that there isn't a learning curve, but was it worth it? To me... yes.

The best thing about being a writer is simply letting my imagination fly. I can go or take my story anywhere I want it to go. Of course, I plan out what I need to do, but that sometimes changes as I let the words flow onto the page. Writing is also a form of relaxing as I am taken away from the real world and transported to my make believe world.

I can not say that I have had to deal with writer's block a whole lot. I write only part time and usually for short periods of time, therefore I typically have a plan as to what I am writing about before I sit down. However, I have had times where I needed to step away and come back a day or two later. Usually, any blocks that I have are overcome by simply watching a movie, reading a book or searching the net, where I get inspired or come up with an idea to help with whatever obstacle I am facing.
