Sorry, I was dealing with a family crisis and a health issue and not responding for several months but I am back! I would say figure out what you're passionate about that will motivate you to then implement a plan that you can follow and then follow it. It also helps to have a theme for the year and I would suggest "dicipline". When you start to feel like you are losing your resolve, say it to yourself and then do what you set out to do. I hope that helps.

My life revolves around writing and I never have enough time to write all the books I want to write, so I'm always inspired. But, if you're not, have a big enough why and have a goal. Also relax, meditate, or take a walk or a hot shower. Get yourself in the mood and then just do it!

Do the research to find out what people want to buy before you start writing, so you pick an angle that will sell. Also, learn Kindle optimization so you know your books will get found. People can't buy it if they can't find it. Also, study the type of writing you want to do, learn the rules, then get creative and do your own thing. Nobody wants to read your copy of another book. And outsource the technical work so you can spend your time writing more books. The more you write, the wider audience you will attract, and the more money you will make.

I honestly never get writer's block. I have so many ideas that I have more to write than I have time to write it. And I always use an outline or a powerpoint, so I know what I am going to write before I start. It makes it really easy.
