Hi Jo! Thanks so much for contacting me with your interesting question! I would have to say that it depends on which women friends I'm with, as to what the conversations are about! When I'm with my writer-friends, it's mostly about writing, reading, publishing, and selling our books, but then goes into jobs, husbands, shopping, and food! LOL. And with my non-writer friends, it usually goes straight to the non-writerly subjects! We've not talked about granite stone, but have discussed ashes, especially since there's a chapter in my memoir about my dad's ashes! Thanks again for your questions!

I have so many memories that didn't make it into my first book that I decided I had to write a sequel.

I'm working on the sequel to "From Pigtails to Chin Hairs: A Memoir & More." I haven't come up with the title yet, but it will come to me when the time is right. It contains snippets of my life just like the first book.

It depends on my mood at the time. I usually go through the emotions most writers go through: aggravation, impatience, etc. It helps to get up and do something physical for a while instead of sitting and staring at my laptop. Sometimes I take a short walk around my neighborhood or throw a load of clothes in the washer. Something quick like that, so I'm not away from writing for too long.

When I discovered I could write I was almost 50 years old, and my life hasn't been the same since. I now understand what it means to be passionate about something. Writing allows me to express myself. Writing makes me happy. Because of my writing, I've met so many wonderful people. So, what's the best thing about being a writer? All of the above.
