Thanks so much for contacting me with your interesting question! I would have to say that it depends on which women friends I'm with, as to what the conversations are about! When I'm with my writer-friends, it's mostly about writing, reading, publishing, and selling our books, but then goes into jobs, husbands, shopping, and food! LOL. And with my non-writer friends, it usually goes straight to the non-writerly subjects! We've not talked about granite stone, but have discussed ashes, especially since there's a chapter in my memoir about my dad's ashes! Thanks again for your questions! (less)

I usually go through the emotions most writers go through: aggravation, impatience, etc. It helps to get up and do …moreIt depends on my mood at the time. I usually go through the emotions most writers go through: aggravation, impatience, etc. It helps to get up and do something physical for a while instead of sitting and staring at my laptop. Sometimes I take a short walk around my neighborhood or throw a load of clothes in the washer. Something quick like that, so I'm not away from writing for too long. (less)
