Great question. I've used multiple techniques to work through writer's block. Below is a list in the order I usually follow.
1. Get creative in the kitchen. I usually take a familiar recipe and spice it up or change it around. I think the act of getting creative in the kitchen helps to unlock any creative blocks I'm having at the time without the pressure of a deadline.
2. I open up 750words.com and start writing. I will write anything. Even gibberish. Sometimes that helps to unblock my creativity and once the words start flowing and I get into a rhythm I can usually find my stride.
3. I rework my story outline or re-work my character profiles.
4. I add a new character into the story. That can spice up the sub plots and unlock the block.
5. I start working on a different title. I usually work on 3 titles at the same time.
6. I read some articles on improving my writing. This can help to unlock things as well.
The above things usually get me unblocked. If they don't. I have to walk away and do some housework or exercise. When I come back I find I've been working on the next scene in my mind and am able to write it.

My inspirations come from a variety of sources. I usually develop my characters from things I love about the people in my life. It's my way of thanking those close to me by immortalizing parts of them and blending those awesome traits in with characters I develop. I also love investigating the paranormal and supernatural so if I find something interesting I like to expand and make that mystery a part of my stories. Taking real life elements and blending them into a fantasy world really helps readers connect to the story being told I think. While writing music is something I love playing in the background. It keeps that part of my mind that is constantly going (often derailing me from hitting my targets) occupied while I work on my books. I also find that my day job (hypnotherapist and life coach) helps to inspire me as well.

I'm currently focused on finishing book three (Fire Master Rising) in the Winters Saga. Rebecca and Savannah has issues they are still working out but the central character in this book is their little brother, Hunter and his new dragon charge.
