How do you get inspired to write?

Jami Brumfield My inspirations come from a variety of sources. I usually develop my characters from things I love about the people in my life. It's my way of thanking those close to me by immortalizing parts of them and blending those awesome traits in with characters I develop. I also love investigating the paranormal and supernatural so if I find something interesting I like to expand and make that mystery a part of my stories. Taking real life elements and blending them into a fantasy world really helps readers connect to the story being told I think. While writing music is something I love playing in the background. It keeps that part of my mind that is constantly going (often derailing me from hitting my targets) occupied while I work on my books. I also find that my day job (hypnotherapist and life coach) helps to inspire me as well.
