Joe Evener Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander from the Millennium series by Stieg Larsson. I love that this complicated romance is not the root of the books, but that their relationship evolves back and forth in that they care for each other even if they don't know it or show it.
Joe Evener I get inspired in many different ways. To do the actual sitting down and writing part is easy - I make myself a glass of tea, turn on some music (depending on the scene I am writing), and get into my comfortable spot (located on the living room couch). I normally start right in with where I left off in my current book, but sometimes if I have a thought that doesn't work with my story I write everything down and file it for later, and possibly a different book.
Joe Evener Seeing my dream come to life on paper.
Joe Evener I normally just go with it. I figure it is my brain saying I need to get out and experience life: working, working out, going to a movie, vacation, something to distract me. When I get inspired enough, the thoughts and passion come back. Normally in a big way.
Joe Evener Keep writing!! Write something every day if possible. and never throw anything away - if you don't like it, file it away until you find a purpose for it.
Joe Evener I am working on book two of the series, The Heart of Seras: The Elders. It explores the backstory of the series and covers Julie's sophomore and junior years in high school.
Joe Evener The Heart of Seras series came from a mythology assignment; reading books like Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and Harry Potter; watching movies such as Gladiator and Braveheart; watching tv shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Xena, Hercules and Highlander; and my day-to-day interactions with family and friends.
