Hi Crystal,
I didn't see this or I would have answered sooner. Sometimes I get newsletters from other authors on a weekly basis and I don't have time to read them all. I thought that might be the case for others and I wanted to make sure I had something to say to everyone, like any new updates on my writing, any appearances, my blog posts, things like that. I didn't want to inundate people with email newsletters. I get reports on how many people click on the email and sometimes, it's not many. I thought the fewer I sent, the more likely people would open them, rather than sending a lot, with even less opens.

I'm currently working on "Battle for Earth" in The Vaedra Chronicles Series. My next children's book should be "Across the Big Ocean," but it could change between now and when it's finished. In my paranormal series, "The Angel Chronicles, the next book will be "Bailey's Irish Dream."

I'm currently working on book 5 in the Vaedra Chronicles Series. I had canning season and research that held me up, so I'm feverishly working on it now. This will be the last one in the "Genesis Saga' which is the beginning of how the Vaedrans and Earthens met. The next Saga will be the 'Vaedran Saga' where I will pick up with some characters from book 2 (Revenge) and some new characters with the stories happening on the Vaedran planets.

I send it out once a month. I'm actually hoping to get it out tomorrow because I have two winners from my June/July Newsletter. I was so late with the June Newsletter that I combined the two (First time I've done that).

This answer contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[While Mr. Porter was locked up in the brig, Kim, the security guard, noticed Porter was doubled over and started convulsing. He radioed for help and rushed to Porter's rescue, only to look into the eyes of a human-turned reptile as Porter slashed his throat. (hide spoiler)]

If I could travel to any fictional world, I would love to go to the Vaedra System and be there as a visitor, but stay with one of my characters to learn about that planet. Each character has come from a different planet and they are all part of the Vaedra System. I've got a lot more stories to tell, so I would be traveling around in a flying car or space ship, taking notes and enjoying the cuisine and sights.

It was a dark and stormy night. Lightning flashed and thunder boomed. Then, BAM! Lightning struck the awning over my bedroom window. I pulled the covers over my head and preceded to have a dream about a UFO crashing in my back yard. That was the prompt for my story, but the dream I had then will become another story for later on. The rest of the story came from the idea "what if aliens were people just like us?"

Songs inspire me, headlines in the papers, news reports, movies I've seen, books I've read all have things in them that makes me think..."what if?"

I'm working on the sequel to "The Abduction," called "Revenge."

Write a journal, start somewhere, just write. I do that everyday, writing my thoughts...things to do, how I'm feeling, what happened the day before, what I want to do. Eventually it becomes easier with time and words start flowing. Never give up the dream. I've been writing for over 33 years and finally reached my goal: to become a published author. Join a writer's group, study everything you can on writing, even RWA (Romance Writers of America) is a great place to start if you have romance in your story. They helped me find the classes I needed and groups I joined to get me where I am today.

I can BE anyone, DO anything, GO anywhere without anyone telling me that "I can't."

I usually don't get writer's block. My problem is finding the time to write what is in my head. If I get stuck in a story, I will pull out another story and work on it. Also, while I am doing work that requires no brain power, like washing dishes, canning vegetables, housework in general, that's when my mind starts showing me stories or fixes problems in stories I'm working on.
