I am working on sort of a sequel to Winter Wish. It does not have Jessie as the main character, but she will probably appear in it at some point. The book has a new character and a new setting, but one of the main characters in it was also in Winter Wish.

I force myself to write it through. If it's choppy and wooden, maybe it still contains a nugget of something I can use and build on. I face my fears and tell myself I am writing for my eyes only. And at first that is exactly what I am doing; it is very freeing! Sometimes I get in my car and drive. . . see new sights. . . a little mini road trip! :) Or go for a walk, do some reading. Lose myself in a daydream world.

I got the idea for one of the new characters Jessie ( my main character) will meet from a customer who used to come in a store where I worked a long time ago. She was a young wife and was so beautiful and her husband, who had a lot of money, seemed to adore her, but she always looked so sad. I saw her once in the grocery store and she was barefoot on a somewhat cool day. I have always wondered why she looked so sad. In my book, I am hoping this character can find some healing. But some of her baggage may bring trouble to Jessie's life, uh oh! I also am trying to add just a little magic realism to this book. But I can't say where I got the idea or it will be a spoiler!
