It depends on the character. Some are louder than others and make their displeasure about something known. With my current book a lot of secrets came out that I wasn't even expecting and it changed the entire direction of books to come.

I can come from anywhere. Sometimes I'm in the shower, I'm trying to sleep at night, or I'm walking to my car from the Subway. I'll see something or be reading something else and think of a twist to it. Most of the time it's like a accident...I never see it coming.

I got the idea for And So She Waited from my failed relationships and wanted to show the bad part of falling it love. Not the hearts, flowers, and rainbows part, but the crying in the middle of the night, screaming for no reason, and delusional parts of it.

I'm currently working on a short story for an anthology of paranormal twists I'm coordinating with 16 other authors. I'm excited and it will be the prequel to the upcoming Trilogy entitled Blood of the Ancient Gods.
