Kanika Bankhad As a teenager I was intrigued by the fictional existence of vampires. Witches and werewolves followed lead. I was always fascinated by the idea of being ageless and inhumanly appealing in an intimidating way. Though as I grew up, I noticed how vamps get all the limelight; they are the rich, the influential, the eminent class among supernaturals. While wolves were tagged as the less looked upon canine barers; poor and striving. I tried creating a bunch of wolves I would love to hunt with on full moons! I want to break the custom of writing wolf stories in only erotica; I want YA readers to go as berserk about them as they are about the laid back vamps(I am still not anti-vampires)!
Kanika Bankhad I am only 1 book old, soon to share my second work. But I have experience being an Author who hadn't done much research on the genre I worked upon. I think any budding writer should read as many books as possible in the genre they fancy; the books which are a success and a failure. It gives you an idea of what the audience is expecting and how far you can push your talent and make your work better.

Above all, take help from critics, prefer the people who criticize you than praise you to get 'there'. Always be open to changes. It has certainly worked for me and i am much happier with what recent I've written.
Kanika Bankhad For me, the best thing about being a writer is the freedom to express. I really get to write what I imagine or feel about a person/situation/plot which do rounds in my mind at odd hours. I have nobody to answer or explain myself to; I expect my work to speak for itself. What's more, it makes you feel intellectual and gives access to so many wonderful readers across the globe.
Kanika Bankhad I am currently working on the second book in my 'Beloved' series. Its called ' Beloved Treaty'. The work is nearly complete and is ready to be published; I expect it to reach the readers by September.
