My books have been inspired mostly by a need to share the truth with others and the need to help others to be the best they can be.

I came up with the idea for my most recently published book, "A Bill Of Rights For Periodic Paralysis Patients," from the over 450 members of my Periodic Paralysis Network Support Group. During daily discussions it is clear that there is a need for individuals with Periodic Paralysis to empower themselves with necessary information in order to protect themselves when dealing with medical professionals and to teach those working with these patients more about the condition and how to better treat them and their symptoms. This metabolic disorder is very rare, and is misunderstood. It is most often misdiagnosed and mistreated, which can cause damage, or even death in some situations. I hope it will be read by medical professionals to understand the condition better; patients with Periodic Paralysis in order to be empowered by knowing their rights and more about their condition and anyone interested in knowing more about Periodic Paralysis.

The best part about being a writer for me is the knowledge that I am helping people with my books.

I am writing a biography of my father's life as a musician on the road during the Great Depression. He left home at the age of sixteen with only his trombone.
I am also writing a book, which is autobiographical, involving the spiritual aspects of my life and that of my family.
Two more books are in the making for those who have Periodic Paralysis or for those who want to know more about it. One is about getting appropriate help and staying safe in the ER and the other is a short book describing and answering questions about Periodic Paralysis, to be shared with family and friends of those who suffer from the cruel medical condition.

My advice for aspiring writers is to write about what you know. I believe that everyone has a story to tell and everyone should write their own story.

I will usually take a break from writing or switch to another book I am writing...I am working on four books at this time....
