Currently, I am in the process of releasing a follow up to my book Tree Huggers, which picks up seven years later. It's called "The Reason For The Season." Kate, now remarried with a four year old son and pregnant with twins, decides to sing in the joint Christmas cantata with her church and the local gay/lesbian church. After a rehearsal, she witnesses a brutal hate crime when two gay men are beaten severely. Was it a senseless act of violence? Or something more sinister? It should be out very soon, sometime this month.

Thank you. This whole "Like my Facebook page" thing has gotten way out of hand. Liking a page is not buying a book. And that's the reason I was not at all bummed when the grand total of 50 likes on my author page slipped to 48. I've also gotten away from the "Follow me/Follow you mentality." It took me a year to realize that most of my "followers" don't read a single word of what I tweet. And I'm not the least bit interested in what they're posting, either.

I love when people ask me questions about my books. It's one of my favorite things to talk about. It is a challenge, but I believe I've learned how to say just enough to get people interested without giving anything away.

When I'm staring at the empty screen and nothing's happening, I open up my special "Words of Wisdom" file. It says "It's OK to write bad. Just write." And I make the effort to write something--anything will do, even if it's just "Bob went into the kitchen." Once I get started with that first sentence, no matter how boring and superficial it is, other sentences follow and pretty soon, I've written another chapter and another one after that. Works every time.
