I go out and meet people. Striking up a conversation is easy; I introduce myself as a writer, and people immediately start telling me about their lives. Every person has at least one story, if not many, in their lives. It's always inspirational for me, and gives me the spark I need. Writer's Block never lasts long when I get interested in others.

I was going through a divorce and needed an outlet. Being a writer, of course I turned to writing. Although the story is about a woman and her two daughters (same as my scene) the rest is fiction. The story rapidly took on a life of it's own, and I read it as I was writing it. Alas, there's no Doug Saunders in my life, yet...
