We are currently reading Katherine Mansfield's short stories. I must confess not all of these are to my taste.
A most enjoyable last read was A Place called Winter by Patrick Gale. This read was appreciated by us all. A powerful story not for the faint hearted. Bold, ruthless, sad and happy, describe but a small portion of this great story.
Earlier we attempted John Steinbeck's, The Grapes of Wrath.Worth ploughing through the 200,000 words.An amazing based on the truth book.

Joy M. Lilley My favourite couple to date are Don Tilman and Rosie in Graheme Simsions book The Rosie project.
They are the couple who appeared to be most incompatible. This proved not to be the case as opposites do attract.

Joy M. Lilley I'm working on my 3rd novel which is to be a murder mystery. Very different from the 1st,two novels.My 2nd novel The' Liberty Bodice' will soon be released. It is a WW2 drama and an inspirational page turner. I do hope you enjoy it.
Joy M. Lilley It was originally a short story for a magazine competition.It came highly recommended.The content was to be a Mills and Boon flavoured historical romance.
I decided to enlarge the story and it became the book it is now.
