If I have writer's block, it probably means I'm out of alignment with myself. To get back into alignment, I'll go through an inner-self check. Am I happy right now, and if not how can I change that? Am I taking care of myself as I would a child? Do I need rest? Do I need to travel somewhere to get a fresh mind? How are my relationships? Etc... When I check myself internally and then readjust my life, the writer's block usually goes away! Unless the Universe has other plans for me at the time, I'll just surrender and go with the flow.

The freedom it allows me in my daily life. I can go anywhere in the world and write, and as an adventure writer, anywhere new I go has SO many adventures awaiting me! I never run out of things to write about!

Just start writing! No matter what genre you want to write, just start. Even if you think it sucks, just write. You have a special story to share with the world, your voice has many ears waiting to hear it. If you feel called to write, all it takes is to begin. The rest will follow, as the Universe gives you just what you need at the perfect time ;)

I have been writing since I knew how to! When I was little, I would make books out of printer paper and illustrate them. Some I can remember were adventure books, where two characters would explore a place to find the answer to a question - and a book about mermaids and dolphins. Poetry was also something I loved to write and I recently found notebooks filled with my childhood whimsy. When I graduated college, I wanted to find a "career" I suppose and began taking writing more seriously. In 2016, my husband and I set out on a search for somewhere new to live and that was the inspiration for my first book, A Year Against the Rain. In 2018, I was able to write and publish A Year Against the Rain as well as my first poetry book, Morning Motivations.
