It's not getting inspired, per se. I tend to write on a schedule, so I write whether I'm particularly inspired or not. To be a serious writer, you have to do that. You can't just wait for inspiration.

Undoubtedly, it's being able to share ideas with people. The written word is the best way to do that.

I use free writing. That's when you write down literally everything that comes into your mind, every thought you have. Eventually, you will get tired of trying to write down everything you are thinking about and that forces your brain to start concentrating on just your book and eventually it leads to your brain getting itself unstuck from the writer's block.

Write at a consistent time everyday so that it becomes routine. Also utilize free writing. If you're stuck and looking for direction, just write whatever comes to mind without worrying about punctuation or grammar. It's basically like pouring your thoughts onto the page.
