Ann Depres I would love to go to Alice's Wonderland. I've always been intrigued by the array of characters throughout. I would relish the opportunity to explore every nook and cranny.
Ann Depres The book that I'm currently reading is, "Redemption Road" by John Hart. I also plan to read, "Dragon Teeth" by Michael Crichton when it's released on May 23rd. Another one on my list is, "The Whistler" by John Grisham. Alright, so I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Every so often I run across a story that is intriguing and heart-felt and honest and beautifully captures the human condition. One is, "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte, and the other is, "From the Corner of His Eye" by Dean Koontz. I reread them both at least once a year.
"From the Corner of His Eye" holds a special place in my heart because a few years ago it was rereleased on my Birthday, May 29th, and Dean Koontz sent me a signed hard cover and paperback copy when I wrote him to inquire about how to submit my copy for him to sign. I, in turn, promptly wrote him again to tell him that he is now the coolest author on the planet!
Ann Depres I personally think that my entire life is one big mystery with a multitude of ongoing plots that would fill an infinite number of books; additionally, the plot for my first novel, "Faceless," is based on the mysterious things that began happening in my life when I was a child, increased exponentially after I'd gone to see a tarot card reader when I was sixteen, and continued well into my adult life.

However, if I had to chose another, I believe I would go with the time I woke up late and had to walk to school by myself. I had just left my house and begun walking north down the long block to the side street, where I would turn west and walk the five blocks to my school when an ominous looking man-I'm guessing it was a man-passed by me going in the opposite direction. When I turned a to get a closer look, because he made me uneasy and I really didn't like the idea of him being behind me, he had disappeared. There was no way that he could have ducked into one of my neighbors houses in the split second that it took me to glance behind me. My house was in the middle of a long block, so there were no alleyways nearby for him to duck into either. Was he an angel? A demon? Perhaps some otherworldly being visiting our planet? To this day I wonder...
Ann Depres My favorite fictional couple is Francis and Claire Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, and Robin Wright Penn in the 2013 Netflix Original, "House of Cards."

Claire is this elegant, refined trophy wife driven by her quest for power. Majority House Whip Francis is a ruthless, detached, petty little man consumed with an agonizing desire to get even with any and everyone for every perceived wrong. Together the treacherous duo devours everyone they encounter, and when there's no one left to obliterate, they turn on each other.

I love them because they are shrewd, methodical and vicious. The very embodiment of the darkest side of human nature unleashed on civilized society.

At the onslaught of the series I was instinctually appalled by their behavior, but somewhere along the way I was sucked into Francis' agonizing world and found myself rooting for his sick, twisted plan to succeed.

Because I actually watched the 1990 British miniseries with Ian Richardson (Francis Urquhart), I know that Francis ultimately ends up being put out of his misery when his wife sanctions his assassination. An action that left me feeling relieved when it was over, because it had become painful to watch hatred eat away at this man until all that was left was a shell of a human being!

One word, "Masterful!"
Ann Depres Meditation and relaxation. I have learned not to panic when the story doesn't seem to be coming together as planned. Sometimes the solution is as simple as taking a short break and coming back with a fresh perspective, so I shut down my computer and spend time thinking about what I have already written, and the general direction in which the story is headed. I also keep a pen and pad of paper at the ready to write down any ideas that flash through my mind as I go about my day.
Ann Depres Being my own boss. I have always hated the idea of someone else deciding how successful I could be.
Ann Depres Write from your heart and you will captivate your audience every time.
Ann Depres I am currently working on a novella titled, "Cyber Dating," which will be complete February 2016. I am also producing two animated series, "Cyber Dating" and "Gavin Percival Mysteries."
Ann Depres I love interacting with, and getting to know people. Capturing the human experience in its most vulnerable state, being able to peel back those defensive layers that build up as a result of living and experiencing life is incredible. There's nothing like it.
Ann Depres There are times in our lives when everything goes wrong, and no matter how hard we fight to right things, they just tend to get worse.

My life was thrown into a tailspin when the economy imploded. I felt like all of my preparation and hard work was for nothing, and I desperately needed an outlet for the feelings of despair that I was experiencing.

That's when it hit me. What if there are invisible forces lurking in the background of our lives, helping some, while hindering others? Faceless was born as I set out to answer, and find a solution to that question.
