I can see my self, walking through the home of the nights-watch, marching into battle against the white walkers from Game of Thrones. And then driving a piece of dragon glass deep into the icy cold heart of the night king. Saving the entire seven kingdoms, and claiming the iron throne. With Tyrion Lannister, and Denaris kneeling at my feet, whilst banishing the remnants of the Lannister family to serve in the nights-watch.

Jamie Pond derived from my over active imagination, and some quiet spells when working as a site manager for a Crawley based company.
It was in Crawley that I visited a park called Tilgate park with my Family . At the back of the park there is a lake called The Silt Lake. When I first saw it, I knew this had to be the home of Jamie Pond & the C.F.I.A (Carp & Frog Intelligence Agency) a secret organisation fighting against the most feared animal criminal organisations. I Have a passion for Spy films, which I when I watch them, well they gave me the inspiration I needed to tell my stories.

I grab any opportunity I can, be it perched on the edge of an underground train seat, or waiting for my wife to finish the weekly shop.
It doesn't matter to me where I write as long as I have my headphones and my favourite play list, then I'm a happy writer. I don't feel the need to lock my self away for days on end, that just doesn't appeal to me what soever.

Read, read, & read a lot!
Write when ever you can,and never give up.
It's no good having all the ideas and characters stuck in your head.
My desk draws are full of A4 note pads with hundreds of ideas jotted down.
All ways keep a small note book with you, you never know when the next idea or character may crop up.
Observe reality, sit a generic coffee shop window and just watch the people go by. I love people watching, placing jobs on people and trying to work them out just from the clothes they wear and the amount of shopping they may be carrying.
But most of all hit the agents hard. You really have to make them want your idea.

I absolutely love writing, seeing the proud look on my sons face after he read my first published book was the greatest feeling in the world.
When I write, I'm in my own little world. I think of nothing else around me and totally switch off from my surroundings. Head phones help, especially when I'm on the tube or train in London writing on my iPad.

Currently I'm working on three projects.
Firstly, I'm focused on The sequel to Jamie Pond in Rise of The Heron.
Rise of the Heron was based in and around Sussex and Surrey. I'm located in West Sussex so going out to research areas wasn't too much of a problem. However, Rise of the Thunder ?????? is based in Edinburgh, in particular Arthur's Seat an extinct volcano. This location features heavily throughout the book. A few day trips will be on the cards to get a feel for the area.
Secondly, A book for teenagers and upwards called 'Tina', this is a Horror, Suspense book based in Whitechapel. I'm not going to reveal any more about this one.
Thirdly, I have been asked to write a children's picture story book about a dark and mysterious character. This book is really pushing my boundaries, as I create all my own illustrations.
