Hi Reeda,
There will definitely be a sequel to Eternal Darkness! Depending on where that story takes me (I have the basic plot in mind), there may be a third book. Unfortunately I have a couple of other projects to finish first, so it might not be until late 2018.

Hi Richard!
Haven was actually written in fits and starts over a very long period of time (~1996-2012). There were a lot of different sources of inspiration, but most heavily from IT as you mentioned (Stranger Things wasn't around yet). I got part of the idea for Paul from an old Mel Gibson movie called Man Without a Face - about a disfigured man assumed to be guilty of child molestation because of his looks. A lot of the "nostalgic" references (like "off the roof" and carnivals and the hobby shop) are stolen from my own childhood. I'm so glad you are enjoying the story. I think no matter what else I do in my writing career, Haven will always be my favorite child!

Sorry for the delay in responding! Thank you for the kind words, I'm happy you enjoyed Haven. My second novel, Eternal Darkness, is available now in paperback and ebook. I have a novella coming out in the fall and I'm searching for an agent for my first YA novel. A few short stories in the works as well.
