Kurt Bryan When you are writing, please Always remember "The Reader is Your Boss."

Therefore, it's perfectly fine to stop writing for a while, relax, visit with family or friends, exercise and take a mental break.

It's also nice to read and enjoy other Author's books, instead of always focusing on writing.

Reading is wonderful so enjoy it.

Kurt Bryan Right now, I am taking a short break.

It took Three-years to interview people, research and write Fate Came Calling.

It was a huge project. So, I am going to enjoy promoting Fate Came Calling, while casually thinking about my next book subject.
Kurt Bryan I often take mental notes or keep notes on potential events and/or stories that I believe will interest potential readers, fiction or non-fiction.

And, when I am working on a book and writing a word, phrase, sentence or chapter, if I am not hooked on it...then I delete it.

If I am not enjoying the passage I have written, and if I am not having fun or laughing or crying, then my readers won't be either.

For me, as an Author, the work must be crisp, fun, interesting, worthy of the reader's time, in addition to gripping and relevantly emotional.
Kurt Bryan I took several years off from writing books to focus on raising our children and enjoying other aspects of life. However, I was then ready to commence writing again and was reviewing various ideas for my next book, either fiction or non-fiction.

As Fate would have it, I was introduced to the man who is the subject of the book for Fate Came Calling, his name is Warren Vest.

After meeting with Warren and his family members a few times and conferring with several people about the full scope of the project, and learning about Warren's unexpected incredible life and the arc of events that drastically altered his life and that of many others, I accepted the unique opportunity to write Fate Came Calling.

It took 3-years to interview people, research and write Fate Came Calling.
