There won't be sequels to any of my written works as I prefer exploring new premises and new characters for my books, but I won't rule out a prequel. The book I am currently working on is a prequel to "Seasons" and focuses on the male protagonist's life before his encounter with his reclusive client. That said, however, the two books are independent, and you do not need to have knowledge of one book before embarking on the other.

Matthew in "Seasons: The Mysterious Woman". He's an average guy, struggling to achieve his aspiration as a singer and reminds me of me - a writer struggling to make good in the literary world. He is middle class and diligent, and despite his busy schedule, he is always ready to lend others a hand. Plus he is affable and tactful. I am sure we have seen a shadow of him in people around us - our friends, neighbors, colleagues and family members. Basically, he is a person whom everyone can relate to.

Movies, reading, random thoughts, novel incidents and quirky characters that arouse my interest.

We shouldn't be afraid to share our ideas, and we shouldn't get despondent if the majority rejects our work. We should make use of the opportunity to improve on our work instead, and come back with a better novel. Perseverance is the key.
And more importantly, live. Living is your best source of ideas when it comes to writing. When you close your mind to everything else, you find it hard to get any inspiration to get started.

I read a book, watch a movie, talk to friends, go for a walk, tidy the house - anything except writing. It's mentally stressful, not to mention a torture, to force yourself to sit in front of a white screen to try to type something, especially when your mind is as blank as the screen before you.
Most of the time, I am able to draw inspiration from the activities I do and resume my writing.

I was reading a press report about a handyman and realized there aren't many stories in the literary world that feature a handyman as a hero/protagonist in a novel. I thought his work - restoring order to clients' houses by fixing their malfunctioning stuff to patching up walls - would be a nice metaphor for him bringing about changes in people's lives through his interactions with them. So I decided to explore his world: his clients and colleagues - this will be further developed in my next book 'Follow The Handyman', dreams, work and life.
In this book, however, I place more emphasis on his interactions with a particular client - a reclusive woman living in the outskirts of the county. She is supposed to be under his colleague's charge, but by a twist of fate, her account lands on his lap, and he ends up doing most of the repairs for her instead.
This book will also focus on a little on his life and aspiration as a singer.

The literary world is a place where my imagination can run wild, and I conjure the most out-of-the-world scenarios without feeling out of place/sync with the contemporary world.

A prequel to Seasons: The Mysterious Woman. It's going to chronicle the encounters the handyman has with his clients of all walks of life in Gat County as he attends to their callouts, and the lessons he draws from each meeting.
