Victoria Dougherty I just came across your question. So sorry for taking so long. Where do I find inspiration for my books? Well, mostly from my family and my travels. I come from a Cold War immigrant family with a very dramatic backgrounds and I lived in Prague for many years. If you'd like to read about it, please visit my blog. Victoria Dougherty Did I never answer this question? I suspect not - sorry. I think it was never delivered to my inbox.
Loved the book festival - did and reading and was on a panel titled Murder in Another Time and Place, which was so much fun. Full, engaged audience and met some really interesting authors. Do you do any festivals, Arielle?
Victoria Dougherty It was surreal. I'd seen my name in various forms connected to my writing, but I have to say, in book form, it's different. It's like getting a plaque instead of a letter. Books have gravitas :) In short - it felt good.
Victoria Dougherty I've never really had a nasty case of writers block. Fingers crossed :)

Victoria Dougherty The Hungarian - another Cold War spy thriller. It's got Sputnik, murder by salt poisioning, a Russian mystic, and a great roll in the hay inside an old, abanandoned chapel. What more could you want, right?
Victoria Dougherty I've been writing since I was a kid. I wrote professionally for the first time in High School when I joined a comedy troupe and started writing skits. I guess by this point it's not a matter of inspiration anymore. I just sit down and do it.
Victoria Dougherty I grew up in a crazy, Cold War family with lots of dashing, adventurous real life characters who lived on the edge :)
