Jamie Smith I'm no professional, nor prolific so take my answer for what it's worth. Writer's block...I rose each morning, ran the beach or the mountain behind the house, then when the clock struck 8am I started writing. I didn't stop until I ran out of things to say. Sometimes that might be noon, sometimes 9am, sometimes it might be midnight but I never pushed it. I didn't force anything on the page. Throughout the day when I wasn't writing I would carry a notebook and if I had a thought that was relevant to the book I'd jot it down...that gave me ammunition for the next day's work. So, in a nutshell - wake up, get to work and don't force it when you hit a roadblock. Stop, do something else and carry a notebook to jot ideas down to help you push thru the roadblock...at least that's what I did. Hope that is helpful.
