Great question, Josie. My favorite thing about writing is two-fold: I get to explore centuries and settings so different from my own life and yet my own life somehow bleeds into the stories I write. Each of my novels are memoir-ish in a way. I can trace spiritual growth and lessons learned throughout each chapter. So writing is as therapeutic as journaling while being adventurous, too. :)

Yes! Currently my next project is Top Secret, but I look forward to sharing more about it in the future. ;) Thanks for asking, Sam! I hope you enjoy Dirk and Gwyn's story!

Thanks for asking, Sarah! I'm sorry for the delayed response--I'm still figuring out Goodreads, LOL! :) I was raised in a Christian home and knew of Jesus and what He did for me from a young age. But when I was twelve, I took the advice of a friend who challenged me to spend time with Him each day. Daily quiet times made all the difference and led me to fall in love with Him. :)

Read, read, read! I can't say that enough! You can't learn how to fly a plane by watching one glide across the sky, but you learn a lot watching a sentence soar. So read in your chosen genre--and out of it.
And check out GoTeenWriters.com. I learned most of what I've learned about writing from them. :)

Great question, Hannah! Reformation-era England piqued my interest because my family has both Catholic and Protestant roots--and never were those tensions more keenly felt than at that volatile time when Protestants wanted to be respected and Catholics felt their religion was threatened.
I probably enjoyed most the research that led me to passionate hearts on both sides of the conflicts: those who were willing to fight for what they believed in even if there were others who believed just as strongly the exact opposite things! I hope I highlight that well in Diamonds. :)
