What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Brett Garcia Rose Just write. And when you're no actually writing, get busy with things to write about. Dive into life. Have relationships. Eat insects. Do something.

Brett, I just finished Noise and loved it. It was intense and I found myself sneeking a few pages in while I was working. I am swamped at work this week but promise a full review on Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble by Saturday. Thank you so much for the book. I am excited to follow the rest of your work!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Brett Garcia Rose I was sitting on a bench in Battery Park on 9/11 when the planes hit. I don't personalize the event in my writing (not that it's necessarily bad to do so) but I think it added a lot of the coldness and ruthlessness found in my work.

How do you get inspired to write?
Brett Garcia Rose I don't get inspired at all. I have to schedule writing, and drag myself, kicking and screaming, to the table. Once I pass the halfway mark of a story, book, whatever, then the need to write kicks in. Because I need to see how it ends or, if I know how it ends, then I need to see if I can get there.
