A.K. Kulshreshth Hi Paul,

You're welcome. Yes, great to meet, and a coincidence we ended up in the same bus:)

My first story was published by Silverfish Books in KL, in an anthology that came out in 2003. The next one was published in 2009... I've been more productive in the last decade or so.

If only I wrote an hour every morning, like you do!
A.K. Kulshreshth When I'm out in Singapore, why does it only rain hard when I don't have an umbrella?
A.K. Kulshreshth Hi Tweedledum,

I'm sorry for this late reply! Thanks for accepting. From a reader's viewpoint, I like to follow people whose reviews I have liked. Yes, my books should be available online in the UK; probably not in book stores.

If you're looking for recommendations, here are some classics from near my part of the world:
Yu Hua's 'To Live'
Bao Ninh, 'The Sorrow of War'
Tan Twan Eng, 'The Gift of Rain'
Rachel Heng, 'The Great Reclamation' (just published but likely to become a classic)
Mieko Kawakami, 'Breasts and Eggs'
RK Narayan, 'The Guide'
Yoko Ogawa, 'The Professor and the Housekeeper'

Just an offhand list. They are all on the sad side, though:), except the last one.

'Crazy Rich Asians' is popular and funny (I confess it's on my TBR; I haven't yet read:)). Keigo Higashino writes great mysteries.

Also on my blog there's an article about my favourite international crime books.

Best regards,
AK
