Tweedledum
Tweedledum asked A.K. Kulshreshth:

Hi AK, thanks for asking me to be a GR friend. In recent years I have made a conscious effort to read authors from outside Europe and America so will look out for something you have written or translated. Are your books easy to obtain in the UK? I’m afraid I’m unlikely to be more than an occasional correspondent though but I do try to reply to emails from GR friends.

A.K. Kulshreshth Hi Tweedledum,

I'm sorry for this late reply! Thanks for accepting. From a reader's viewpoint, I like to follow people whose reviews I have liked. Yes, my books should be available online in the UK; probably not in book stores.

If you're looking for recommendations, here are some classics from near my part of the world:
Yu Hua's 'To Live'
Bao Ninh, 'The Sorrow of War'
Tan Twan Eng, 'The Gift of Rain'
Rachel Heng, 'The Great Reclamation' (just published but likely to become a classic)
Mieko Kawakami, 'Breasts and Eggs'
RK Narayan, 'The Guide'
Yoko Ogawa, 'The Professor and the Housekeeper'

Just an offhand list. They are all on the sad side, though:), except the last one.

'Crazy Rich Asians' is popular and funny (I confess it's on my TBR; I haven't yet read:)). Keigo Higashino writes great mysteries.

Also on my blog there's an article about my favourite international crime books.

Best regards,
AK
