Mary raced through the warehouse, banged her knee on an iron bar, and fell to the ground. As she looked into the killer's eyes, she realized she was about to die somewhere between irony and cliche.

That's a fun question! I would probably go to Wonderland and hang out with the Cheshire Cat. Together with the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit, we'd lay siege to the Queen's castle. I never did understand why Alice wanted to find her way home.

I rip through a lot of books. Currently reading Flowertown by S.G. Redling. I've started the Raven Boys series by Maggie Stiefvater. I'm also going to start reading a dear friend of mine's biochronicle series, starting with Legacy by Jesikah Sundin.

How do I get any sleep with nothing but boys in the house? Hahaha.
No really. The only part of my life that I write about is my very odd upbringing in west Texas. Not much of a mystery. My life is sort of an open book in general, so I don't think I have anything mysteriously good to write a book about. Perhaps a farce, but not a mystery.

This is a good question. It's hard to decide really. I'll choose the most unconventional fictional couple I've ever loved. Lynnie and Homan from The Story of Beautiful Girl. It was one of the most innocent and captivating love stories I've read.

(view spoiler)[If there was one book out there that demonstrated the heart and soul of your brother, what would it be? (hide spoiler)]

Well, that's an interesting question. My brother is one of the best men I know. To tell the truth, he's a lot like a character called Jimmy in the latest novel I wrote. However that isn't published yet.
I guess if hard pressed to think of a book that reminds me of him, I'd suggest reading A TOWN LIKE ALICE by Neville Shute.
I hope that helps, Emma.

Well, I love Lewis Carroll, and I bought a book of his photography. Inside was a photo of Alice Liddell, the real Alice in Wonderland. That picture begged me to write about it.

I have no one answer to this. Inspiration comes at me from everywhere, even in my sleep. My stories normally manifest themselves into little ghosts of characters and scenes that follow me around until I write them away.
Michelle Rene
A ton of things at the same time as usual. I just finished my Novella about the real Alice in wonderland, I am working on a post apocalyptic story, I'm still chipping away at my science fiction novel, and I'm shopping my new humor book about modern marriage.

If you have any desire to do anything else, don't be a writer. The writing part can be difficult enough, and the industry will break you in half. Like most things creative, to survive being a writer you have to love it beyond reason or sanity. If you don't, then I suggest doing something else and writing in your free time. However, if you are like me and can't function without writing, as though it were food, then write and never stop. No matter what anyone tells you, your insanity for writing is there for a reason. If you weren't meant to write then it wouldn't hurt so badly when you stop. So advise my fellow crazy people to write and listen to no one else but your crazy, mixed up writer brain.

The therapy that only writing can give you.

I go out and try new things. I visit a museum, read something new, attend a concert, or just stay at home and watch something I'd normally never watch. You never where inspiration will come from, and I find getting out of your mundane helps tremendously.
