I'm revisiting the world of Elise and the Aquanauts. Watching westerns and horror films, listening to old school punk and bluegrass, and researching some things that might be important. Took a trip to France and was inspired by some new places, new things...we'll see. New Orleans is interesting, too.

Everything, the good and bad around you, everything can inspire. I once thought that writing came from pain, personal pain or some sort of angst, but it doesn't. Not every time. It can come from love and from hope and from just living. Travel. Make friends. Make an enemy. Feed a frickin' squirrel. Make dinner. Writing is life and if you're alive you'll have inspiration. I guess, if you're dead but aware, that's inspiration too.

Write. Read. Repeat. Putting words on paper, even if they're crap, gets everything moving in the right direction. Or some direction. Oh, and get outside for crying out loud. Fresh air doesn't hurt. And drink a little. Or a lot.
