My favorite couple in recent years has to be Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. There was just so much raw emotion in their relationship, the way they overcame the odds against them and forged ahead into the future. Total fantasy, to be sure, but I enjoyed sharing their journey and their complicated world for a time. Their dedication to each other was very romantic to me.

My stories are always character driven. Plot is the hardest part for me. What inspires me to write is the desire to steer my characters through the emotional highs and lows of meeting, or of being reunited after a long time apart, then going through that process of falling in love and trying to make a go of it. It sounds like the easiest thing in the world, but we all know how tricky true love can be. It's fun watching them try to maneuver through the sometimes shark-infested waters!

I have several projects "in the works". I've never written a short story, but I have an fun idea for one I'd like to try. I'm editing an old manuscript that I love, hoping to breather new life into the plot and let my characters finally have their day in the sun. But my primary work right now is a follow-up book to Once in a Blue Moon, my new release. I'm going to give my heroine's brother a woman of his own. I think Reed deserves a chance at true love!

Write what you love, what interests you. If it inspires you and your imagination, it will do the same for others. Tell your story your way, and never, never give up if publication is your dream!

I love making things happening a story, creating any kind of scenario that suits my fancy. And I love emotion, so digging for a gold mine of emotion in my characters is lots of fun!

Writer's block calls for some serious beach walking! I need to get out by myself and soul-search a little, let my mind soar into the wind and see where it goes. I also find that brain-storming works for me, but only on a WIP. I just get a sheet of paper and write down anything that comes to mind that deals with one of my characters or a possible plot turn. Brain-storming with another person helps too, especially my daughter, who is also a writer.

Maybe a little but of a personal fantasy...after all, every woman loves a "bad boy"!
