How do you get inspired to write?
Manisha Gala Interesting real life situations trigger my imagination. I start thinking about the same situation with a little twist/variation, and a new fictitious story develops in my mind.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Manisha Gala Being a writer, a person becomes absorbent. He/she starts studying the environment, people, various situations etc in depth. This not only enhances his/her personality but also enriches his/her literary work.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Manisha Gala Take a break of 5-6 days. Be more social. Meet more people. Go out for walks in open places like beach, garden etc where we can see many different types of people. Play with kids. They sometimes come up with really innovative ideas and curious questions which we elders never think of asking.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Manisha Gala On Facebook of course!!! That's a part of my book's title. I saw so many different people on Facebook, known and unknown. Each one had some unique personality. That's where I thought of this novel. I needed a thread to bind all these scattered characteristics into one nice piece of art and that's where I introduced a parallel love story.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Manisha Gala If you feel you can write, then don't wait....start writing. You may not feel confident upon writing first 100 words. Don't hesitate...Continue your work. When you are on your 5000th word, go back to first page and see how better you have become. Simply correct your initial scribble and continue your journey on the path of writing.
