J.J. Dice I have a lot going on right now. The world of Farion is so vast and there is a great deal I want to write about. I am working on both the Legend of Hollow Wood and the Legend of Farion book series, which will ultimately merge together. I also have the Legends of Farion blog where I am able to jot down some creatures that are unique from Farion. There are more backstories of Farion characters I have written about and right now I am thinking that I will put them together in a short story book. I also have smaller scale projects I have begun writing unrelated to Farion.
J.J. Dice Sometimes I quietly stand on my back porch and stare into the woods. I play a little mind game where I try to describe as much of the scene in my head, from the swooshing wind, the bending branches, birds and bugs chirping, etc. Whatever it takes to get my mind flowing.
J.J. Dice I love sharing the crazy thoughts and personalities floating around in my head.
J.J. Dice I try to keep on top of a story, writing a little bit each day. But if I have not written on a story in a while, sometimes it is difficult to pick back up where I left off. I return to the beginning of the chapter and reread what I have written to get back into the scene. On occasion, if I have left a story for a long time and I reread the entire book to get back into character’s lives and I also read my notes on where they are going and that usually gets me writing again.
J.J. Dice I dabbled with writing here and there, mostly poems and songs, since I was in high school. But when I fell in love with RPG video games, I came up with a few ideas for a story. As I wrote the first couple of chapters of Lost in Pain, I immersed myself in the world of Farion and began writing, From the Ashes as well. The characters in both Hollow Wood and Farion crossover so I have found working on both series simultaneously helps keep both stories fresh in my mind.
