My third novel: Guilt. It's about a seven-year-old girl who is alone with her younger brother when he dies of an overdose. The guilt informs the rest of her life with near tragic consequences.

The Killing of Mummy's Boy, launched today is my most recent book. I was inspired to write it after finding myself next to a self-confessed murderer on a train. Most people would have moved. Not me. During the next 60 minutes I was intrigued, repulsed and horrified but never bored. He asked me to get off the train at the next stop and run away with him. I refused but it got me thinking 'What if?' From the relative safety of my keyboard, I went on a journey fraught with fear.
