I used to draw comics about a superhero I created named Coconut Man when I was little. They were about as good as you could expect from a five year old. I stick to the written word now.

Congratulations on finishing your first book Janet! That must be very exciting and also relieving!
I have a couple "come down" habits when I finish a first draft. I usually pick out something light to read that has nothing to do with whatever I just wrote. I don't read fiction while I'm writing drafts either so that's always fun to return to.
I'd also recommend trying a new hobby. You probably have lots of leftover energy that you may not want to use on the written word. Using it a different way will help you recharge.

If you're at a block, chances are your mind wants a break. I usually do something relaxing to get my mind off of things for a little while. Trying to power through can often hurt the quality of the writing.
