I'm driven to write. There is an internal voice that pushes me to write and if I don't heed it, it tends to make me feel guilty. So I'm not sure, as it pertains to writing a novel, if I've ever been inspired. Just driven.

I found Stephen King's book, On Writing A Memoir of the Craft, very valuable in writing my first novel. I found that most of the things he wrote held true over the process of writing, and re-writing, my manuscript.
