Andy Malone I am currently writing the sequel to The Seventh Day. It's called The Gathering of Souls.
Andy Malone Don't give up. Everyone has a story to be told. If you fail to find a publisher, go for it yourself. You have nothing to lose. Self publishing can be very liberating but ensure your have a good editor.
Andy Malone It’s been a joy and I’ve loved every minute of it. Sometimes it’s tricky to get your mind in gear. But there are other times where writing is like watching a movie, looking on as these wonderful characters come alive and turn into living breathing people, complete with their own feelings.
As I travel so much and visit so many interesting places, I love to build those experiences into the story, so no matter whether it’s a remote lighthouse on the west coast of Scotland, an old silver mine in Alva, or the wonderfully atmospheric Midlina (Bridge between two continents) in Iceland. I want to the reader to believe that these places are real. Because in most cases, they are.
Andy Malone I’m based in Alva, Scotland. A small village famous for its silver in the eighteenth & nineteenth centuries. I thought this would provide a great backdrop for a story. Career wise I’m a Microsoft Trainer and international conference speaker who speaks at events in over 30 countries.
As you can imagine I travel a lot, and as such spend a lot of time on planes, which is perfect for writing. In the past I’ve written material for technology blogs and magazines. But decided that I wanted to do fiction. As such, The Seventh Day is my first and I’m already working on the sequel.
