How do you get inspired to write?

Andy Malone It’s been a joy and I’ve loved every minute of it. Sometimes it’s tricky to get your mind in gear. But there are other times where writing is like watching a movie, looking on as these wonderful characters come alive and turn into living breathing people, complete with their own feelings.
As I travel so much and visit so many interesting places, I love to build those experiences into the story, so no matter whether it’s a remote lighthouse on the west coast of Scotland, an old silver mine in Alva, or the wonderfully atmospheric Midlina (Bridge between two continents) in Iceland. I want to the reader to believe that these places are real. Because in most cases, they are.
