How do you get inspired to write?
Mark R. McMinn As an introvert, I find rich nuance in the inner world of my thoughts and imaginations. Moving these inner conversations outward is a spiritual discipline for me--one that makes me a better person than I might otherwise be.

Even as I'm grateful for the words that help me articulate the inner world of ideas, I find words frustrating for their lack of texture and complexity. Somewhere between this gratitude and frustration, writing happens.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Mark R. McMinn I don't often experience writer's block, but I did with the "Slow to Anger" chapter of a forthcoming book I wrote with Lisa Graham McMinn (coming January 2024).

How do I deal with it? Hmm. Mostly, I accept it, wait, and ask it (writer's block) what lesson it has for me. Once it answers, then I can usually move forward.
