Jory Strong The next Supernatural Bonds stories will definitely be dragons. Hopefully next year. I'm in the process of getting the rights back from EC on this series. When I have all of them back, it's my intention to return to work on this series.
Jory Strong I would love to return to the Ghostland world and write a lot more stories in it. I'm not sure when or if that will happen. The series didn't gain enough of an audience for Berkley to contract more stories and unfortunately these take a long time for me to write. Right now I just can't afford that time.

I wish I had a more positive answer. I love these characters and think about returning to this story world every day.
Jory Strong Thanks for the question Minnie! Yes, I plan to write more of these, just as you've thought, with human men helping solve the problem for the women. I've got a lot on my plate at the moment trying to get my new series (The Warrens) going, but I'm hoping to return to this story world sooner rather than later.
Jory Strong I hope so!

In all seriousness, I think about this series every day and want to return to it. Unfortunately, it did not gain enough of a readership for Berkley to contract more books in it. And that puts me in a catch-22 situation as these stories take a long time (6 to 8 months easily) to write.

While self-publishing is a very viable option, it's also a significant risk given that Berkley holds the rights, and more significantly, the right to set the price on the first two stories in the series. That is the primary thing holding me back. A lot of new readers won't pick up book 3 without having read books 1 and 2, and the high price of those books is a significant deterrent given how much really good fiction there is out there at $3.99 and less.

So, yes, I hope to return to this series but I don't know when I'll be able to afford to.
Jory Strong Yes! Hoping to get back to this series soon :)
Jory Strong Getting to tell stories that other people are interested in reading. Nothing thrills me more than to hear from readers that they love one of my stories, or one of my series and are dying for more.
Jory Strong I don't count on inspiration to write, if I did, I wouldn't be a published author. I set daily/weekly/monthly goals and hold myself accountable by recording whether I have succeeded or failed.
Jory Strong Write. But even more importantly, finish stories. It's only by getting to The End that a writer can determine their strengths and weakness and improve.

Accept that writing can and often will be work, not fun. And the inspiration probably isn't going to carry you beyond the first 10 to 25% of the story (if you're lucky). Then it's all about commitment, self discipline, and desire.
Jory Strong I view writer's block as a form of resistance, the cure of which is to write. Occasionally, though, it is the muse indicating fatigue. A full day off, maybe two usually cures it and has me anxious to get back to the writing. But this is only if I've been pushing myself hard for a stretch of time.
Jory Strong Crime Tells: Madison's Quest. My goal is to get it handed off for editing this month and published by early August. I'm also working on coming up with a plot for another Crime Tells story.
Jory Strong From the artwork that went on to become the cover of Cade's Dare. I'd contracted a graphic artist to do the cover for Crime Tells: Madison's Quest. When I got the cover, it absolutely wouldn't work because Shane and Tyler are both blond. But I couldn't get the threesome out of my mind, and I wanted to use the cover ASAP. A story came.
