The ability to put into words things that are important. As a visual artist, I value images most highly, but to put images in context, to give people insight into their meaning through writing is very rewarding.

Do a lot of writing...it gets easier and more fun! Writing short articles for magazines interested in my subject was the way I started. Then I made a proposal to Watson-Guptill for writing a full length book...more work than I anticipated, but I am happy with the book.
